Project Overview

This project involved upgrading an existing commercial access pathway for a property in Lakewood, Colorado. The original surface had worn down over time, creating uneven patches, soft edges, and areas where water would collect after rain. Our team was engaged to reshape the pathway, correct grading issues, and deliver a reliable new surface suitable for ongoing commercial use.

The Challenge on Site

The pathway presented several issues that required careful management from the start. The existing asphalt was deteriorated and unstable, with sections that had cracked and lifted due to poor underlying support. Drainage was also a problem, as low spots along the grass boundary allowed water to pool instead of being directed away from the building. In addition, the tight clearance between the structure and the pathway meant all machinery had to operate with precision to avoid damaging the building. Soft ground along the outer edge added another layer of complexity, requiring stabilization before resurfacing could begin. Overall, the site demanded detailed preparation and controlled execution to ensure a stable and long-lasting final product.

Our Approach & Execution

To deliver a clean and durable accessway, our team carried out a structured resurfacing process that included:
