Project Overview

For this project, our team was engaged to complete the ground preparation for a new residential build in Thornton, Colorado. The section required precise cutting, leveling, and shaping to create a clean and stable building pad ready for the next stage of construction.

The Challenge on Site

The area showed uneven ground levels and soft patches that needed correcting before construction could safely begin. With neighboring properties surrounding the site, the work required accuracy and care to ensure the pad aligned with existing boundaries and drainage expectations.

Our Approach & Execution

To deliver a reliable building platform, we carried out a full preparation process that included:

• Site cut & shaping — Reduced high points and filled low spots to form a consistent grade across the pad.
• Sub-grade preparation — Removed loose, unsuitable material and ensured a firm base for compaction.
• Laser guided leveling — Achieved accurate elevation and flatness using precision equipment.
• Compaction to spec — Compacted the entire area to create a strong, load bearing foundation.
• Boundary alignment — Carefully prepared the pad within existing fenced boundaries to maintain clean, square edges.
• Final trim finish — Completed a smooth and even surface ready for builders to begin work.
  

Project Outcome

The finished pad provides a stable, durable, and perfectly graded foundation for the future home. With accurate leveling and professional compaction, the site is now fully prepared for framing and construction to commence without delays.
